Never buy domains from Verio.com!
Oh my God. I bought a domain from Verio.com, and they didn’t send my activation email with my control panel User ID. What does every single support document say? “Simply log in with the user ID sent in your activation email!”
So I thought I’d just get the activation email re-sent: NOPE. No way to do that from the site.
I know! I’ll email support! NOPE. That email address is no longer in use. To contact support, use our super funky support ticket system!
Did that work? NOPE. Guess what? You need to log in first with the User ID sent in your activation email before you can contact support!
OK, I’ll “live chat” to them on the site. NOPE. Only billing and email enquiries allowed.
I’m at my fucking wits’ end. The only thing left is for me to make a transatlantic call to their support line, which will no doubt cost more than the fucking domain name in the first place.
